Dogs are my passion. I believe that only a well-behaved dog will have its own freedom and happiness. I have been training almost all breeds of dogs for over 13 years including the last year here in the North Tampa Bay area. I have specific experience training working dogs such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermans, etc.

We train dogs together with their owners in basic obedience. Please call us for any problems that you may have with your dog's obedience. Sometimes you need only a translation between your dog and you.

   Standard Rates for In-Home Training​

  • 1 on 1 in-home basic obedience session (45 - 60 minutes)  $80 
  • Basic obedience class 6 pack in-home session $400 (4 sessions in and around your home - neighborhood, 2 sessions in public like PetSmart or Home Depot)
  • Advanced obedience 6 pack in-home session  $400 - following completion of Basic Obedience package
  • Advanced obedience 1 on 1 in-home session $100 new customer
  • Advanced obedience 6 pack in-home session new customer $600
  • ​Behavioral Training (biting, nipping, aggressive behavior, impulse control etc.) in-home session $120

  • Carola's first experience training her own German Shepherds in Germany in the SV Club in the Schutzhund (protection work) discipline. Her focus was always on Obedience and Advanced Obedience. Her 3 dogs were always her favorite partners.

    After she came to the United States in late 2018, she adopted a Shar Pei mix from local shelter. Sally was just a year old and according to the shelter we were her 3rd family. Sally didn't know anything about living together with people inside of a house, walking on a leash or behaving with other pets in the house. As she brought her home Sally was behaving like, "Yummie! Cats for dinner and cat food for dessert". She needed to learn that we see cats and dogs as part of the family. It has always been Carola's goal for them to live with them together with the cats not feeling like they need to run for their lives. Sally now peacefully coexists with the cats in harmony.

In early 2020, Carola imported a German Shepherd, Luca, from Germany. Luca is always eager to please and he quickly adapted into his own position position in the family as a pack.  Currently he is going through some advanced specialized training in obedience and protection.
Carola possesses strong skills in training centering on her ability to interpret a dog's thoughts through their body language, emotions and behavior.  She strongly believes in personal 1 on 1 training with a dog and their owner together. She further believes that the owner of the dog needs to learn how they can continue training their own dog further. Most importantly her experience shows that this type of training can make the bond between the dog and their owner amazingly strong. Because of this philosophy, Happy 4 Paws, LLC doesn't offer any extended board and train programs. Instead we offer affordable and customized in-home training as the preferred alternative.

If you are looking for a very experienced and passionate trainer with heart who will work with you together, call or text (727) 272-8326. 

So what will you be expecting? Our first session will always be in your home. I need to see how the dog(s) is/are with you and also with me as the stranger in their home environment. I will be able quickly gather and idea about the issue(s) and how to train your dog and of course also you. I will communicate with you directly about all issues. You will know about how and why we go this or that way. As the owner it will be always on you which way we go; no secrets and nothing hidden. As we finish the first evaluation session  I will provide you instructions on what you can do until I am there the next time. In the meantime I am always available for questions between the sessions. If you are bringing new pets into the home I can help with those issues too.  Getting a new cat and the dog would love to have it for dinner? Getting a new puppy and not sure how it will settle in with the older dog? I have dealt with these kinds of issues many times before.If you are having problems with behavior issues like food possession aggression or other similar problems I can help you with them too. Let me know what your issues are and we can deal with them together.  For dogs with anti-social behavior around other dogs or strangers in a public setting we can work with those in common spots like pet stores and so forth.
